2.4.8-20 linux kernel with Fedora distro?

Hello all,

I am a newbie in need of help. I need to run the version 2.4.8-20 of the linux kernel with a Fedora distribution. How would I do that and what do you recommend as the best way to do so?

Would I install the latest Fedora Core release and then integrate the 2.4.8 kernel? If so, how?

Or would I obtain an older Fedora release that uses the 2.4.8 kernel? If so, where could I get that older Fedora release?

This might be an irrelevant question but I'm just wondering. Why would you need to run an older kernel. Is it an application which calls for an older kernel?

I need to make a modification to the kernel, but it must branch off from the 2.4.8 version, not the latest 2.6 version.

So I'm looking for the best way to get up and running with the 2.4.8 kernel and a Red Hat/Fedora distro.

Nevermind. I was able to find some Red Hat 9 CDs that had what I needed. Also, I made a mistake above. The kernel version should be 2.4.20-8.
