Hi,
I am running FC2 updated to the current kernel, I can't remember which version exactly as I can't get my dial up modem to work. I have the driver for the modem but it requires Module versioning to be working in the kernel, I have enabled in make menuconfig, but cannot compile as I run out of room. I have 500MB free on that partition.
How should I be compiling my kernel to get these options installed?
Is there another way to do this?
I know this seems to be coomon problem it needs the modversions.h file for the hsfconfig (modem driver config), which does not exist. It worked on my RH9.0 but now I can't seem to get it to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated or links I can use would also help thanks

Make sure glibc-kernheaders is installed while compiling the driver. You should not have to recompile your kernel. However, if you still want to recompile you'll need:

2GB free in /usr/src/redhat/BUILD and 1GB free in /var/tmp when using the Fedora SRPM.
