Some of us already dream in Linux, (I'm currently using, several flavours of Debian), can you tell us here at home a little bit about DreamLinux, what it is, what it does, I'm always interested in trying out a new distro..

What I notice from their website is they say that by using their new "Dream_On_A_Pen" philosophy (whatever that means) you can boot Dreamlinux on any computer that is able to boot from a pen-drive (USB Flash Memory).

While I doubt my computer will boot from a memory stick plugged into a USB port, that does sound pretty cool. I'm downloading it as we speak to take a peak. I'm presently totally sold on Linux Mint, best distro out there that I've seen, especially Felicia, the latest version, but I'm always watching for new distros because I've tried many of them over the last 10+ years.

At the last release of DL3.5rc4, we hit one weekly-averaged page-hit rank of #2.

Yes, that's right. It's pretty much the in-thing nowadays - having a highly compressed version of an operating system in a pendrive, able to boot from USB on a boot-supported computer.

Ever since DL3.0, we've offered this feature and provided an installer.
Back then, our chief Dev, nelsongs, had the intention of commercializing the DreamPen.
The first version ran like a liveCD, but much quicker and so highly and efficiently compressed. Even then, it booted real quick but offered no persistence as it was pretty much a proof-of-concept.

After some gentle persuasion, nelsongs decided to offer his work on the pendrive, for free.
We've done extensive comparisons to other free offerings of linux pendrives and installers. IMHO, there is none better.
Even compared with commercial pendrive - OS'es, it is among the top three, if not the best.

Along the way, he's made it more persistent but not with full persistence, as this was all in the development timeline.

We will be delivering this fully developed persistent version together with, or sometime after the release of DL3.5 Final.

Unfortunately not. You will find information about mirrorshere; but we depend on "private" maintainers, so far.
Just a short information about Dreamlinux: we consider it to be the best looking XFCE-distro around (ever-since), based on Debian Lenny. But the main achieve of DL is the distribution of its development tools; persistent pen-drive is one, extending it via create and add modules (eg desktop-environments, game-bundles etc) is the other. In fact, DL was one of the first distros to provide a simple, guided script to create Live CDs from your installed system.
Dreams have grown and so does Linux. With the release of 3.5 (maybe in about one month) we shall provide more HowTo's and documentation about these unique features. Meanwhile you can enjoy testing, exploring and using it. Easy to set up eye-candy via DL-control-panel, fast,responsive but good looking. I do a lot of distro-hopping, but each time i boot back to DL, i have a feeling like /home :D . Cannot explain you, it is the mixture of eye-candy but with descent design.
I won't forget to mention Easy-install, a GUI to install some of the best apps around with one simple click.
Be sure, there's more to come; this distro has just been getting started !
