Dragora in VirtualBox - no internet connection

Hello. Learned of Dragora here. Sort of new to the forums, Linux and VirtualBox. Using VirtualBox in Linuxmint 17. Managed to get Dragora installed in VirtualBox, but can not figure out how to get connected to the internet. The few times I have installed other distros the connection was automically made. Interested to test Dragora out. Thank you.

Hello.

A vm for most users is a real computer. It has software that emulates real hardware so we think of it as a real computer. In your question there is one small difference. VM networking has a few choices. Sometimes they don't work exactly as expected. Did you use Nat or Bridged for the virtual nic connection?

Back to the issue.

Now, if Dragora does have support for the common virtual network interface cards then you need to configure it.

If Dragora doesn't then you either need to change the virtual nic adapter or get support for the installed virtual nic.\

Answer the nat/bridged and also command line command ifconfig -a results.

Most of this is greek to me but the best I can tell NAT is used (gathered from the system info of the virtual box), using adapter "Intel Pro/1000 MT Desktop(82540EM)". Looks like the other vms I have installed. ifconfig returns... Well, got in the middle of this reply and went to copy and paste the output here and find that I can not do that between host and guest on Dragora, and can not mount the vboxguestadditions to install them. So I've got more work to do on this than I thought... I'll have to get back once I get these other things fixed - if I can. Thanks anyway. Sorry for the waste of time.

Don't give up because I was too complex/not easy to follow. You didn't waste my time. (I waste enough for two people )
