Zoom center in Iceweasel 3.5.16
Hello all,
Currently, we are developing a kiosk like system for a tablet device, among other features, the device allows to navigate the internet.
The tablet runs Debian Squeeze (6.04) and the navigator is Mozilla Iceweasel 3.5.16.
The tablet has, obviously, a screen with multitouch capabilities and we want to use the pinch in/out gesture for the zoom functionality. Everytime this gesture is detected, a mouse/keyboard event (Crtl + mouse wheel up/down) is sent to Iceweasel.
The problem we have is the center of the zoom is not located where the pinch gesture is being made, but in Iceweasel, and as I have verified in other computer-based navigators (Firefox, Chrome...), the center of the zoom is located at the top-left corner of the visible page.
I have tried to find a plugin or configuration setting in the about:config section, but it seems there is no option to pan and zoom simultaneously, so the page keep centered at the gesture location (or where the mouse pointer is).
I would like to know if there is some way to make zoom&pan event in a smartphone/tablet fashion. Any help or advice will be more than welcome.
Thanks,
