xfree86 4.3 source and apt-get:

Hi All

Firstly, I entered one of the source for xfree86 4.3 in the /etc/apt/sources.list.

deb http://people.debian.org/~mmagallo/p.../xfree86/i386/ ./

but when I run apt-get update it says
Err http://people.debian.org ./ Packages
404 Not Found
Ign http://people.debian.org ./Release
Failed to fetch http://people.debian.org/~mmagallo/p.../xfree86/i386/ ./Packages 404 Not Found.
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
W: Couldn't stat source package list http://people.debian.org ./ Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/people.debian.org_%7emmagallo_packages_xfree86_i386_._Packages) - stat (2 No such file or directory)
W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems
E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I tried by giving space before each foldername on an alternate basis thinking that would help. No..

I even tried with deb http://devel-home.kde.org/~nolden/X11/ ./, same results.

Secondly, I got apt-get update xfree86 4.3 from some other source,

deb ftp://linux.upsa.es/pub/XFREE4.3/ ./

this one worked but had some problems, when I go back to console mode and come back to GUI, its giving me error, as well as I said default answers when it was asking me during the apt-get update.

How can I uninstall whatever I updated and reinstall xfree86 4.3

Thanks. I am a newbie, I am reading internet sources for fixing up this issue but couldnt find any till now.

go_sooner.
