xfdesktop4 setting occupies CPU. (Debian stretch, amd64)

Hya

System
Debian amd64 stretch, xfce4.

Situation
For some unknown reason, xfce4 desktop setting occupies 100% CPU and choke. (probably loop or race situation, not freeze)

What I have done.
I set up desktop wallpaper images.

Troubleshooting process
Reinstalling xfdesktop4 (4.12.3-2) did not solve.
Checked bug report, (xfdekstop4) found nothing.

Removed ~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-desktop.xml then setup again.
bingo!

I checked all images in my folder for desktop, all of them look good.

I have not investigated further yet.

Closing remark
Have a happy penguin!

Hya,

Self reply.

I guess I can reproduce the situation.

My setup looks like, dual head, change wallpaper randomly at startup.
When there are up to 8 images in the folder for wallpapers, things go well.
Once more than 9 images, the program chokes.

I have not investigated whether total size or image file count makes trouble.

cheers.
