Question WINE without sound

Hello: I speak Spanish and my English is not the best one, but luckily the Google exists. I have a PC with Debian and I have installed the Wine (version 0.0.20050310)of a repository, is an old version but it is the one that I have at the hand, my problem is that when running Quake 3 does not have sound, and that to do, I have tried to lower other versions of Wine but I have not given with the source code in addition I do not understand that very well of the dependencies and I cannot lower it of another one repository, if somebody could help to me very would be thanked for him. I would like that the next time I run the Quake I can listened something.
Thanks for everything and I am waiting for suggestions.

Quake 3 can be run natively. Is getting a native copy of Quake 3 an option for you?
