Which ftp server is the best?

Hi:

I use apt to search ftp server in Debian 3.0r2 (kernel 2.4).

I found that there are:

bsd-ftpd - Port of the OpenBSD FTP server
ftpd - FTP server
twoftpd - a simple secure efficient FTP server
vsftpd - The Very Secure FTP Daemon
oftpd - A secure anonymous FTP server
proftpd - Versatile, virtual-hosting FTP daemon
wu-ftpd - powerful and widely used FTP server

I just want to know.
Which is the best? What is you opinion?

Thanks.

my opinion is proftpd, as goes for many others... in the 2003 polls that took place on LQ.org it has also won most popular .. so that would be my suggestion .. there is also
a great howto in the answers section of this site that MasterC put together to get it started.
