Where to find a Western Digital HD WD800BD Caviar driver

I just finished my first install of debian and I am now setting up another computer to network on that initial server.
I am having difficulty finding/installing the driver for the Western Digital WD800BD 80 GB harddrive driver...any help will be greatly appreciated.

Regards.

Scott

All hard disk drivers are built into the operating system. There are no extra drivers to download for a hard disk. The disk needs to be partitioned, formatted and mounted for Linux to recognize it.

Why do you want a driver?

Check the jumpers on the drive...

Most likely it is the Disk controller, not the hard drive itself, that you don't have a driver for.

Do you know what chipset is on the motherboard ?

Is it a SATA hard drive ?

Is there a different SATA Port you could try ?

Some of the built in SATA RAID controllers may not be detected properly when you attempt to install the OS

I already installed debian with such a disk. No driver needed in my mind.
Any infos about your motherboard ?
