Where does KDE keep its settings for user?

Where does KDE keep its settings for user?

I am trying to remaster Knoppix and would like to make changes to kde user settings. What are the files responsible for:
- Themes
- Background
- Panels
- Task bar
etc.

Configuration settings are kept in .kderc and for apps in .kde.

Thanks for quick reply. I opend both however, I can not see the kde menu and panel configuration files.

Ah, menus go in .config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu (I'm using KDE 3.4 CVS so I don't know if it's different on prior versions). I am not sure about kicker though.
