webcam installation

Hello
i applied pwcx-9.0-beta patch to my 2.6.5 kernel on a Debian woody.

pwc module builds great and my quickcam pro 4000 is recognized in kern.log

i followed instructions for pwcx 9 installation but
the problem is that when i enable pwcx decompressor module in menuconfig, make modules sends me a "no rule to make libpwcx.a"

it must be a stupid thing i forgot to do

I would really appreciate some help on that

libpwcx.a is the closed source part of pwcx. It should come in the pwcx tarball as x86/libpwcx.a (or ppc/libpwcx.a or whatever depending on arch). IIRC, you need to copy that binary into drivers/usb/media/ in your kernel tree.

i was sure i had this file in the right folder but i i figured that the make clean i did before make modules erased it .....

now i got pwc and pwcx loaded but when i try to use cat /dev/video0 (as it is registred in kern.log) i got an error:

>PWC failed to set led on/off time
>PWC set_VIDEO_MODE (167*144 @ 10, palette 0)
>PWC decode_size = 1

and the green led over my cam goes off....

any idea where it could comes from???
