wallpaper changing app that is a stable version?

Hello,

Is there a wallpaper changing app besides wallpaper-tray, that is a stable version?

I tried doing a one-time unstable install of wallpaper-tray by adding the appropriate unstable sources to my sources.list, updating then running

apt-get -t distribution install package

but I keep running into dependency problems. There seem to be so many, I didn't want to keep pursuing it.

I then updated my backup system to unstable to take a chance and install it using aptitude, but aptitude wants to delete about hald the packages I have, including x-windows, and gnome. Whenever I try to mark them for install, and run install, aptitude just "corrects dependency problems", and then they are again marked for deletion. Maybe an unstable system has to be built from the ground up, I don't know. I have never dealt with one before.

Thanks,

Allasso

Personally, I use an app named 'chbg'. There seems to be a version of it in the stable repository too.
It's a bit more complicated (lots of features) than your average wallpaper changer, but works very well once configured
