wake on lan


I need to know as I must extinguish my computer to be able to ignite it through the network

I think you can do that setting from BIOS if your computer is fairly new (in terms of years of purchase..), and there might be a menu called BOOT in which you can do this. Or may be in Advanced Settings.

Wake on lan has nothing to do with Debian, Linux or other software but it's about the BIOS which is on the Motherboard. Try what redhatrosh said, if you can't find it look on the internet to see if your motherboard supports Wake on Lan, if it does, check the manual to see how to turn it on.
