Volume Indicator on Debian Testing
Hello.
I recently switched to debian testing from ubuntu. I use a PowerMac G4, and the keyboard has volume keys. The keys work fine in debian, but when I used ubuntu, whenever I changed the volume with the keys, a volume level indicator would pop up on screen for a second to show the new volume level. When I change the volume in debian, I noticed there is no pop up indicator. Is it possible to enable that in debian? szim90 |
Could it be osdsh?
Code:
apt-get install osdsh |
I figured out the feature was part of gnome. It appears that even if the system recognized the sound keys (they were working), they need to be set in gnome's keyboard shortcuts preferences so when they are used, gnome displays the volume level indicator. Thank you for the reply, though.
