virtual console does`t display


every time i login xwindows und then when i klick ctrl+alt+f1 to switch to virtual console ,a black screen come out and it stop there.can any one tell me where will be the error mesages,and how to reach it?

thanks for any tips!!!

i have kernel 2.6.9,and add the mod nvidia module.

I've had this problem as well, it has to do with the nvidia driver, and your framebuffer device.
install the newest nvidia driver, and nvidia-glx package, see if that works

i have try,
my nvidia driver ist already newest und also glx driver has been loaded
but problem is still so.

by the way,i have built the frame_buffer in kernel,
is that right?
