When I try to run xine or mplayer it will just dissappear. I've been having trouble with playing files, codec problems most likely.
Any tips? Thanks, Tom |
Try running them from a console and posting any error message that it produces.

ack ;) if you need the output in a file, type
xine >xine-output.log 2>xine-output.err this will produce two files for the normal and the error output called xine-output.log and xine-output.err |
Or use this to capture both in one file:
xine 2>&1> xine-output.log |
It displayed cannot create mcop directory. So I created the proper one manually. Then it said that it didn't have enough resources to launch. So I checked in the bios and bumped up my video memory to 32 MB. Those damn integrated display adapters. Popped right up after reconfiguring X considering it wouldn't display X on my monitor anymore.
Thanks a bunch, Tom |
