Using QT on Debian?

I am planning to start building some Graphical applications for Linux using QT. I am using debian Sarge with Xorg and GNOME installed.

How can I get the QT Designer package? Do I need anything else in order to start using QT? I somewhere heard that I need KDE to use QT? Does that mean I will have to stop using GNOME and switch to KDE?

Thanks.

Don't bump your threads before a 24 hour period because this is automatically done for you. You can install qt and all its components without KDE and I am sure it will work fine for you.
