Using a usb modem for internet install
Hello all,
(newbie question!)
I want to install debian from the internet installer, but my modem is a USB D-Link DL200. I previously was running slackware and the modem was going fine using the eciadsl packages provided from eciadsl.flashtux.org.
There is a debian package available. I downloaded this, and from the installer option (where it says "get packages from http, ftp etc" I chose "launch a command prompt" and ran:
dpkg -i eciadsl-usermode_0.9-1_i386.deb
unfortunately I am stuck there. It doesnt seem to provide a eciconf.sh to run to set up my account etc.
DOes anyone know if it is possible to do what I am trying to do? Does the base installer have support for usb stuff? Should I just download the cd's?
