upgrade problem

OK so i got a little crazy and decided hey I'm gonna upgrade "woody" to "sarge" looked like everything loaded OK. I then reboot the system and the only thing i get is "LI" and it stops. now Ive read some places that i need to boot up with the recover disk or CD 1 and rerun LILO....OK not quite sure how to do that...can anyone give me a hand here? Man this sooooo reminds me of the BBS days trying to get crap to work lol

Liberto

ohhh and this machine is strickly Linux only.

Correct - use the woody boot cd, use the rescue option, once on the command line do lilo and it should write the relevant boot parameters to the mbr.
