Updating Woody's Kernel Prior to Installation

I'm assuming that in order to get Woody to recognize a 250 GB drive, I'll have to update the kernel. Is there some way that I can do this prior to installation?

The bf24 option will give you a 2.4 kernel instead of a 2.2. I have no idea whether you actually need a newer one for huge drives or not.

Yeah, I've tried bf24. Apparently, it still has the 137 GB limit.
