Updating Samba to 3.0

Can anyone help me out here.

I want to update Samba 2.2 to 3.0. I have downloaded it and burned it to a CD, but I don't know how to access it in the CDrom to install it. The file is in the .deb format. I have tried apt-get and apt-cdrom with no results. I have also tried dselect but Samba 3 is not an option. Maybe I need to change the location dselect searches for the packages?

Thanks
Wayne

zuralin thanks, that worked except I got all kinds of dependency errors.

Does anyone know the path I can add to the sources.list to get Samba 3.0 and all dependent packages. I currently have this -
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free.

Thanks
Wayne

here is my guess you are using woody/stable and samba 3 is not in stable yet this will cause dependancy problems...just a guess

Im no expert but its doubtful that you can...thats why stable is stable new packages dont go there until fully tested and whatnot
