My graphic card is not supported in Debian 3.0
How do you update the version with testing and stable (in text mode)?
I hoping this will get a new drive for my graphic card! Will this help?

Thanks

Tom

Which graphic card?
what is the problem exactly?

To upgrade to testing/unstable you must edit /etc/apt/sources.list and change "stable" string to "testing" or "unstable", then:

apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
(take several cups of tea/coffee/whisky/rum....)

... and.... I think Windows XP is not a Linux Distribution, is it?

just kidding barrat.

I don't know what's your problem yet.

That graphics card has a Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 chipset and I think this chipset is fully supported in linux. You can find drivers for Nvidia chipsets here.

Bye and good luck!.

you can use wget to download the file from a console, alternatively you can try lynx (a text-based browser)

barrat, the page you have visited is for Intel Itanium 64 bits Processors. If you have a Pentium or AMD (not 64) go here.

And yes, you have to choose nv driver for nvidia cards. Then download a newer driver from the previous page.

bye.
