Updates broke Flash player

Hello,

I'm running Debian on my wife's desktop computer. She was prompted to run updates a few days ago and did so and since then she can't watch any flash content in browsers. We've tried Chrome and Ice Weasel and it's broken in both, get a Shockwave crashed message.

I uninstalled Gnash plug in and then I installed flash from Adobe in the command line. Still having problems. Is there anyway to determine what update broke it or how to fix this?

First thing i'd do is try deleting these folders:
~/.adobe/ ~/.macromedia/

It's fixed several crashes for me when updating flash in the past.

I thought Chrome and Iceweasel (Firefox) used different types of flashplayers. Doesn't Chrome use pepperflashplayer? and Iceweasel, flashplayer
