update-notifier problem

Installed 'update-notifier' with 'apt' and added 'root' to 'admin' group.
But when i try to run it under 'su' the output is:

Try export XAUTHORITY=/home/kuratkull/.Xauthority just before the update-notifier if you want it to be permenant then put the line in your /root/.bashrc.

I installed update-notifier and it runs automatically.
