Unable to change the Virtual Machine Power State
 
Hello All,
when i run my vmware, and try to power on a windows-xp image...then it shows the follwing message

" Unable to crate the virtual machine power state:
could not create the process "

then i though that it might be the prob with my current image...then i tried with new and fresh window-xp image ..but the problem is not yet solve d...i guess there is a problem with any permisson for which the process is unable to create....about memory ...it is sufficient to run the image...can anyone give the solution plz

YOu have to make sure the module vmmon is loaded.

I'm having the same trouble. I've loaded the any-any 17d patch and still am having trouble as well.

I believe that I'm loading vmmon correctly, but how can I confirm this?

"lsmod | grep vm"
