ubuntu/hoary lines in your sources.list?

what does it mean to add the ubuntu/hoary lines in your sources.list and how do I do it? I just installed Debian on my Dell Inspiron 6000 but the GUI doesn't work and I can't get the wireless to work either. the tutorial I'm using is from linux-on-laptops.com and it said to:
Quote:
- add the ubuntu/hoary lines in your sources.list
- apt-get install xserver-xorg x-window-system x-window-system-core gdm gnome xfce4 xorg-driver-synaptics
- choose the i810 driver
thanks for any help
