I understood that ubuntu was working on the same apt tree that's why i was thinking there was only one way to upgrade: reinstall with the new iso every 6 months, my mistake...

Indeed, i really like the way Ubuntu works... i think i'll install it really soon, i'm tired of the 32bits system on an amd64...

I have modconf and i'm on 2.6 kernel... I'm not fond of this way of using modules, but it's the easiest way i found to do it... and i don't really like the idea of doing a modprobe for each module at every boot I'm sure there is another solution... gotta read the.. manual
