Thunderbird acting up after upgrades in Buster

I updated/upgraded yesterday morning 08/10/2017 for Buster. Thunderbird was one of the items being upgraded. After upgrade I stared having issues with it not working properly. When I open TB I have to hover mouse over whole screen to make things show up. If I open an email I have to do same thing. And if I reply to one reading I have to rehover the mouse again over whole screen. If I go to a different folder on TB it's the same all over again. Here's what I have for TB installed:

thunderbird:
Installed: 1:52.2.1-4+b1
Candidate: 1:52.2.1-4+b1
Version table:
*** 1:52.2.1-4+b1 500
500 http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian buster/main i386 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I've talked to a couple others and they had same kind of issues. I'm attaching a couple of screenshots to show what I'm talking about.
I have another issue that also happened with an update/upgrade. I'll create a post with that one but wanted to get this one stared first. It's the newest issue I'm having after an update/upgrade in Buster.

Before anyone says to do an apt-get install -f, it's already been done just to see if there was something hanging that I didn't know about.

I received information on a bug that I hadn't seen when searching earlier. This sounds about what is going on with me also. I am posting the bug number so others can read and see what is going on here. Seems the upgrade screwed a lot of people. Wonder how many that hasn't chimed in on this.

Have you "upgraded" stable to testing?
or have you been using testing from the start?
you know that it's called testing for a reason?
just making sure.

I've been using testing from the start. I'm running both testing and stable on this machine. there is a bug that has been filed on this now. Was filed either yesterday or the day before. Found that out after I had posted. Bug# 871629 is what it's listed under. Seems to have been a lot more than myself having had this happen to them. Stable has been okay in this, just testing for me and for some it looks like both testing and Sid is acting up like this.

This has been solved. Received update/upgrade this morning 08/14/2017. All is back to normal on this issue. Now to work out on the other and see if we have to file a bug report or not. Still in work for that one.

Newer version now:

thunderbird:
Installed: 1:52.2.1-5
Candidate: 1:52.2.1-5
Version table:
*** 1:52.2.1-5 500
500 http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian buster/main i386 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
