System's locks when running games installed via apt
Since switching to Xorg, I have been unable to run any games that I installed by way of synaptic or apt-get. When I try to run lbreakout2 or supertux my screen turns a shade dark and then locks up. My drives don't even turn. (I push the power button and it shuts down immedietly instead of the normal 5 seconds)
I am unable to catch an error message - even running it in a terminal - because the system freezes.
I am running kanotix which is based on unstable and using the athlion repos for kde 3.4.1.
The last time I did an inofobash I got this:
Host/Kernel/OS "debian" running Linux 2.6.11-kanotix-11 i686 [ KANOTIX 2005-03 ]
CPU Info Intel Celeron clocked at [2692.170 Mhz]
Videocard Intel Corp. 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device (rev 03) X.Org 6.8.2 [ 1024x768 @100hz ] GeForce FX 5200
Processes 70 | Uptime 17:14 | Memory 741.875/755.238MB | HDD Size 250GB (7%used) | GLX Renderer GeForce FX 5200/PCI/SSE2 | GLX Version 2.0.0 NVIDIA 76.67 | Direct rendering: Yes | Infobash v2.00b20
I have done a couple upgrades since then but my problem still remains.
I tried reinstalling my nvidia drivers but that does not fix it.
Here's the strange thing ----- enemy territory still runs great.

Just change my video from 0:1:0 to the right one. Off topic: I just install kde 3.4.2 (knowing what I would loose) and it runs faster than ever.
