su woes

I get this error message when I open up virt-manager (logged in as a typical user):
Code:
Unable to open a connection to the libvirt management daemon.

Libvirt URI is: qemu:///system

Verify that:
 - The 'libvirtd' daemon has been started
Manually trying to start the daemon results in:

Code:
error : qemudWritePidFile:508 : Failed to open pid file '/var/run/libvirtd.pid' : File exists
virt-manager works just fine when I log in as root.

Is there a hidden file for this program in your home directory? Something like /home/eveningsky339/.virt-manager ? If so, maybe deleting it, and restarting your computer will fix things for your normal user to be able to use this program.

Disclaimer: I'm just blankly firing in the dark here, given that I've never heard of virt-manager.

It's just a GUI for managing virtual machines using KVM/QEMU/Xen.

No dice when deleting .virt-manager in /home.
