Squeeze, Gnome - Network Manager "forgets" mobile broadband connections

Hey guys, hope all is well.

I have a slightly annoying problem...........maybe im just too lazy.

I'm running Squeeze with gnome on my BENQ joybook at the moment with a HUAWEI E220 modem.

When i go to Network Manager and make a new connection all is well. I right click, edit connections, mobile broadband, blah blah blah and connect with no problems.

However when i disconnect, Network Manager does not give me the option to connect to my recently made connection. I right click and it should say "telstra: mobile broadband" but it doesn't.

I can get the modem to work again by disconnecting it, then reconnecting it, and making a new connection but it's just annoying to keep creating new connections (jeez i am lazy !!! )

This is by no means an urgent matter, but if anyone has any experience with this or knows how to fix, it would be great if you could shed some light or point me in the right direction !

Thanks in advance.

100th Posting.... woop woop !!! :P

This happened to me too. The mobile broadband handling is quirky with network-manager. Usually all was well until i disconnected then i needed at least to reconnect the dongle. Sometimes i had to restart network manager and kill modem-manager.

Now i use wicd + sakis3g for mobile broadband handling (supports only 3g modems, the ones that usually provide /dev/ttyUSB interfaces) and it works as it should every time.
