Question Squeeze don't shut down

Hi

When I try to shut down my pc using gnome's button (2.28.2) instead of turning off pc goes to login screen...
I run debian squeeze with kernel 2.6.32.5.
With the command shutdown -h all it's ok.
How it's possible? Also suspend and hibernate work with gnome's button.

Cheers

Since gnome 2.28, as if gnome did not have enough extra apps running to provide the self-explained functionality of version before 2.24, you will also need gnome-power-manager to get shutdown and reboot options.

You don't understand. I had already installed the package gnome-power-manager.

"When I try to shut down my pc using gnome's button (2.28.2) instead of turning off pc goes to login screen..." THIS is the problem...

Cheers

Check gdm's settings then. There is some stuff under the Local tab, but mine is in greek and I am sure I won't translate them properly. I believe it says "Show actions menu".

Also check if your user is in the powerdev group.
