Did you had your bluetooth working under lenny? You sure know that squeeze is testing branch right now....
I once had bluetooth going on etch and had the same problem that I could not do very much with it. Beside connect my phone to it.
I guess you need a program to handle the connection or something like this.
Doesn't look too bad for dependencies,here's what i get when i try to install on Testing using Fluxbox:
