Cool splashy

Hi,
running etch with kernel-2.6.17. trying to get splashy-0.1.8 installed fr the sid repo to work.
I have added vga=795 to the kernel line in grub's menu.lst and I have set fade.in and fade.out to 'off' in the theme config file.
This had got rid of a couple of problems.
The problem i am still having is that the background image disappears and text re-appears when the progress bar reaches about halfway.
Otherwise, splashy is working fine, including shutdown.

can anyone help?

I might be wrong but I was under the impression that vga=791 was the correct setting and that splashy didn't support anything higher

Cool

Actually, it does. This value of 795 is taken fr a table in the doc. It is for display res of 1280x1024, which is that of my LCD. If I have not used the right value, there would not be any splash image at all.
