Sound stops when scrolling in Firefox

Hi, all

I won't say that this is unbearable but at times it gets a little annoying ..

This doesn't happen when the scrolling is slow, but when it is rather fast, using

the mousewheel or clicking on the window's side to get to the top of the page.

It doesn't happen in any other app. Well if it happened to someone else who has

fixed it I would be more than happy to learn something more.

Cheers

PS: I forgot : Firefox version 1.0.3-2 . Did the same with previous versions

I had similar problems if i used dmix (i think that's how it's called) plugin for alsa to support more programs to play sound simultaneous.
I don't have a very powerfull computer(Celeron/SDRam) and because of that when i used CPU intensive programs (or heavy (more or less) disk input/output usage) sound stopped...

Firefox is using quite some memory and CPU and because of that i've switched for now to Opera.

Sollutions? Hmm... Disable smooth scrolling? (Onboard soundcards use the CPU too)

Thanks for answering. I solved the problem a few days ago, by providing my SiS chipset with
a decent driver, so that all resources would not be used because of its absence.
It worked and now there's no longer interruptions in sound when I use Firefox, and I
use 3D acceleration.
cheers

I have the same problem with both smooth and non-smooth scrolling

i just attributed it to cpu usage
