Sound on Mac mini
I've submited this question a few days ago, but now have new details about it.
I'm using Debian 3.1 PPC on a Mac mini. When starting KDE allways receive the following message : "Error while initializing the sound driver: device /dev/dsp can't be opened (No such file or directory)" Running alsaconf, it detects my card - snd powermac - and says sound driver is configured, but ends with the message " /usr/sbin/alsactl: save_state:1194: No soundcards found... Running lsmod, I get Module Size Used by snd_powermac 44304 0 snd_pcm_oss 68136 0 snd_mixer_oss 23264 1 snd_pcm_oss snd_pcm 119800 2 snd_powermac,snd_pcm_oss snd_page_alloc 13480 1 snd_pcm snd_timer 29348 1 snd_pcm snd 67800 5 snd_powermac,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_pcm,snd_timer soundcore 11812 1 snd And I cannot get sound to work. Can someone help ? Thanks |
