Sound complain when I have no sound card.

Hi,

When I login on KDE I get the message :
".... device /dev/dsp can't be opened ...."

The point is that I have no sound card on this computer and do not intend to put one. Why then does this message about "sound" come up.

I have tried to get rid of every thing related to sound in kpackage.

But it looks like I need to let some basic packages for KDE to work.

Any suggestion ?

Michel

The kde soundserver needs to be disabled
I googled around a bit and found this site, which may help.
I can't really test them right now.

Hope it helps a bit
