Sound Buttons work in Gnome but not KDE

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 Laptop with a fresh install of Lenny and KDE 3.5.10.

On the computer there are these 7 Keys. I only care about the 3 related to sound. Now everything works perfect in Gnome, but when I switch to KDE, the 3 audio buttons don't work. I can't seem to figure out why and get them working. Does anyone have a solution for this? Again, they work in GNOME but not KDE.

Thanks.
