Question Sound and aMSN


I am using debian 3.1r1 and i got the following problems:

i get the error message "sorry no mixer element and/or device found when i click on sound panel while XMMS is playing

also amsn 0.95 stos working just after i try to login after logging out once and does not let login again.

No two programs can access the sound device on Linux at the same time. If you wish to have several programs accessing the sound device as the same time, you need to use ESD (The Enlightened Sound Daemon).
