Sid Firefox Doesn't Load Secure Webpages

Hi
i'm runnin on a debian sid from netinstall cd. the firefox 1.5 won't load some of the ssl webpages, like ebay or amazon, but loads others, like yahoo. I also get these .serverauth.NUMBER things in my home directory. I don't know if that's related to anything.

please help. Thanks!

Hi,

I am using sid and Firefox 1.5 on eBay. No problems at all.

run dpkg -l firefox

This is mine:

XXXXDDEE@debian:~$ dpkg -l firefox
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err: uppercase=bad)
||/ Name Version Description
+++-==============-==============-============================================
ii firefox 1.5.dfsg-4 lightweight web browser based on Mozilla

Give me 2 urls you are unable to load.

Hi, thanks for the reply, but i figured it out. when i did base-config, i skipped over the Select and Install Packages because i was gona upgrade to sid and wanted the minimum number of programs before the upgrade. Even if you don't choose anything to install, debian still installs some useful programs, which I was missing, even though apt-get didn't find any dependence error. Thanks again.

I've also found that the firewall has something to do with it. apparently the openning of the good ol' port 80 and 443 isn't good enough.
