shutdown permissions

hi,

I have a debian system, and i want to give shutdown permission to some users.

i have changed permissions of shutdown

chmod 774 shutdown

i have create a group, add the users for that group and chgrp group shutdown,

but other users get always

bash: shutdown: command not found

or if i execute /sbin/shutdown

i get you must be root

How can i give shutdown permissions ????

chmod +s /sbin/halt /sbin/shutdown

That's because shutdown is not in their path. You can also do this with sudo which I recommend.
