Short life laptop battery

Yesterday I installed the last testing version of Debian.
I noticed my battery get down in an about hour, while with the last stable Debian version, in half an hour, while Win7 in two hours.
Someone reports this too?

Thanks

You should install power management. Simply said currently, debian is constantly using full power, while windows uses less power by slowing down when not needed and other similar tweaks.
This might be helpful http://technowizah.com/2007/01/debia...anagement.html
It is a bit outdated, but the basic idea still applies.
