Re steps upgrade Debian 6 to Debian 7

Hi all,

I'm prepared to upgrade Debian 6.0 to Debian 7.0 which is running on a VM of Oracle VirtualBox. I found following 2 documents;

Safe upgrade Debian Squeeze to Wheezy

Upgrading Debian Squeeze to Debian Wheezy

Has any folk on the forum try them? Could they work without problem? OR is there a better step? TIA

B.R.

The first looks like it's for an embedded system and had some steps you really don't need to be bothered with.

Take a look at the official docs:

http://www.debian.org/releases/stabl...release-notes/

The information you want is in Chapter 4. Not all of it may apply to you, but check it out. Nothing better than official docs (most of the time).
