Radeon 7500 mobility video card configuration

Hi all,

I just installed Woody on my Thinkpad T30 and cannot get X configured properly to run with the ATI Radeon 7500 mobility card. A couple of questions:

1. When I run xf86config, the Radeon card is not an option. Is it still possible to get this card working?

2. Would upgrading xfree86 take care of this issue? If so, can this be done utilizing apt-get?

Thanks for all your help.

you should enable the framebuffer device in your kernel, as that will support almost every videocard. Do some searches on google.com/linux and I'm sure you'll work your way out
