Putty problem with VM


Hi, on my vm I installed debian 6 64bit, I installed ssh but I can not connect via putty Can you help me?

Hello and welcome to LQ.

To help you we need more information about the system setup. Which VM software are you using? In which mode is the virtual network card (bridged, NAT, ...)?
Can you ping between the systems?

I use VirtualBox VM Orange
Virtual Network card: Intel PRO/1000MT Desktop (NAT)
I do not know how to ping between the machines (maybe wrong ip I do not know)

When I have to connect the VM with the host through the network I usually use the bridged setting with and setup the guest with a fixed IP. It always works for me this way, maybe you should give it a try.
