Angry Prolink Hurricane 8000 Adsl Usb Modems

Anyone using the above modem with Debian successfully?

Broadband is coming and ADSL USB modems are increasingly available.

Debian with its great APT-GET abilities will benefit most. Therefore it is important that all popular ADSL USB modems like Prolink and US-ROBOTICS are supported ASAP

this isn't a debian problem, more a linux problem. Check out if those modems are supported by linux, if yes they're supported by debian too, if no good luck

I agree, but Debian uses will benfit most!

Meanwhile I wrote to the company making these modems and told them to get cracking on Linux driverrs or loose a huge market to someone else.

They have replied [positively. They will have it ready this month.
