Problems with Xfce

I have installed Debain with Xfce... I am used too Gnome or KDE
But there is many subtle diffrences
1. The Auto-mount of Devices such as Cdrom or USB
2. Add/or Remove apps in the Main Menu
Do you have any ideas
or do you have a user guide

1. Make sure the HAL daemon is running.
2. Run xfce4-menueditor

Problems with Xfce

I have installed the hal daemon and now if I plug in a usb. It will appear
on the Desktop. But when I tell it to open it say's that the mount
will fail. It says the following
Unable to mount "sda1"
mount:can't find /media/sda1
in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab

Any Ideas
