problems with locales [sarge]

Hi!

I tried to install sarge on a pretty old pc (pentium 233 MHz) and encountered the following problems with locales: Whenever I try to reconfigure it or when I try to use apt-get, then I get the following (or with apt-get a similiar) error message:

Code:
RUH:~#dpkg-reconfigure locales
perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
      LANGUAGE = "de_DE@euro",
      LC_ALL = (unset),
      LANG = "de_DE.UTF-8"
    are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").
locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directory
locale: Cannot set LC_MESSAGES to default locale: No such file or directory
locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory
debconf: DbDriver "config": /var/cache/debconf/config.dat is locked by another process
I would be very happy if someone could help me. Thank you very much,

I had the same error message minus the debconf error. Running 'dpkg-reconfigure locales' worked for me.
