Problems installing packages from stable

I've got a copy Debian Sarge installed on one of my machines, with the following sources.list file:

Code:
#deb file:///cdrom/ sarge main

deb ftp://www.mirror.ac.uk/sites/ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable main non-free contrib
deb-src ftp://www.mirror.ac.uk/sites/ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable main non-free contrib
deb http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US stable/non-US main contrib non-free
deb-src http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US stable/non-US main contrib non-free

#deb ftp://ftp.mcc.ac.uk/pub/linux/distributions/Debian/ testing main non-free contrib
#deb-src ftp://ftp.mcc.ac.uk/pub/linux/distributions/Debian/ testing main non-free contrib

deb http://security.debian.org/ testing/updates main contrib non-free
However, when I try and install packages such as mbmon and free-java-sdk, I'm told that the packages don't exist, and apt-cache search <package name> doesn't return anything. I can't understand why these packages aren't showing up, because they're in the stable distribution so surely apt wouild be able to pick them up? I have run apt-get update a couple of times but it doesn't seem to have made any difference.

I'm fairly new to Debian and have never really got the hang of apt so apologies if I've missed something obvious here.

Try another mirror or the main site:
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free
deb http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US stable/non-US main contrib non-free

Also your security updates are from testing, not sarge.
deb http://security.debian.org/ sarge/updates main
deb-src http://security.debian.org/ sarge/updates main

Change the mirrors to what you like.

Changing the mirrors seemed to work, thanks. I guess mirror.ac.uk hasn't been kept up to date or something.
